b We aquire language differently as children than we do as adults.
summary
Karl Kim is a graduate student in the lab of Joy Hirsch. They discovered evidence that children and adults do not use the same parts of the brain when learing a second language. The researchers used fMRI to study the brains of two groups of bilingual people. One is learned a second language as children. The other is learned second language later in life. They looked specifically at two language centers in the brain. The part of brains are Wernicke's area and Broca's area.Later, they found people use the same part of Wernicke's area no matter what language they speaking. But their use of Broca's area was different for their second language.Because language is being hard-wired in children, the brain combine sounds and strctures from languages into the same area. But different languages have different combines, must be taken over by different part of brain. Another reason is our aquire language differently as children than we do as adults.

Talk about extreme sports
Homework 2
I am going for a hike in the southern Rocky Mountains, before I graduate. I love hiking because you can really get in touch with nature.
Extreme sports are very new in America, they usually come from people trying the craziest tings. Bungee jumping is a good example. Someone tied a bungee cord to himself and jumped off a very tall bridge. Bungee cords stretch a lot, so the person lived, but he took a big risk to find out if his idea would work. Another extreme sport is snowboarding. A skier decided to stand sideways on one piece of wood to get down the mountain instead of using two skis.
People like these dangerous sports because they are exciting.
Not everyone can become a professional basketball or football player. Not everyone, especially youth living in the city, has access to large green fields. But kids still want to compete.
So all over America, young people started skateboarding and bicycling. This is where the Extreme Games, or X-Games, started.
